Coming into the EMX250 season, Håkon Fredriksen was expected to be one of the heavy hitters in the championship and he had a good start to the season at Matterley Basin. However, ever since the opening round things haven’t been going according to plan for the Norwegian.
Not only has he been getting bad starts but he’s also had a lot of bike problems with the BUD Kawasaki. There are now rumours that Fredriksen is back on a Yamaha – a bike he performed very well on in 2020.
Rumours indicate that Fredriksen will sign with the Riley Yamaha Racing team where he would team up with fellow Norwegian, Cornelius Tøndel and Raf Meuwissen but it’s yet to be confirmed. One thing that looks certain is that Fredriksen has decided to part ways with the BUD Kawasaki team.
