Race One: The first EMX250 moto was a brilliant battle between two Italians – Valerio Lata and Andrea Bonacorsi going at it around an already rough and slick track. Lata led until five minutes to go before Bonacorsi made his move but Lata didn’t give up. He tried to make a pass around the last corner but just didn’t get it done. Ferruccio Zanchi didn’t get the best of starts but made plenty of passes to come home in third ahead of his team mate, Marc-Antoine Rossi who came from outside the top ten.
Race Two: After missing out on the win in the first moto, Valerio Lata took the holeshot in race two and cruised away at the front. A superb win and his first EMX250 overall victory – Bonacorsi closed the gap down with three to go but couldn’t get close enough to the impressive Lata. Maxime Grau rode great to finish third on his BT Husky ahead of Karlis Reisulis. Zanchi came home in fifth after an early race crash to round off the podium – an Italian 1-2-3 on the day.
