There aren’t many riders better than Romain Febvre in slick hard pack conditions that require good throttle control and that showed in the qualifying race at Arco di Trento. He grabbed the holeshot and never looked back – complete domination! Maxime Renaux ended up a solid second but it was all going on behind the French riders.
Ruben Fernandez passed Jeremy Seewer to finish an impressive third. Jeffrey Herlings was buried outside the top fifteen on the first lap but came back to seventh. Jorge Prado was in fifth before a costly mistake dropped him back to tenth.
Valentin Guillod had another great ride for fifth on his SR Honda.
