Jake Nicholls pulls out of the 2024 Arenacross UK series

At the start of the year, Jake Nicholls came out of retirement to race the Arenacross UK series and it was the first time he contested the event but it was nice to see him back racing.

The Brit was set to race the series this year as well but has confirmed he has decided to pull out. The good news is that Nicholls is still planning on racing this year and will race the MX2 British Championship – he will also race Hawkstone International in February.

Nicholls posted the statement below:

To put it simply, TRU7 Group proudly sponsored this year’s events and had every intention of supporting AXUK once again in 2024. However, without any sort of communication our involvement was discontinued.

TRU7 Group have been huge supporters of British Motorsports for years, investing time and money into events, individuals and teams nationally, so that many can continue to enjoy racing at both elite and grassroot levels.

I do genuinely wish the series well as it was a good time in 2023 and got me back into racing. Had there been transparency I would have understood and may have still considered racing. However, the lack of correspondence and respect has dissuaded me from taking part.

I wish all those taking part the best of luck and look forward to seeing many of you on the line in April. My first event will be Hawkstone International at the end of February!
