An honest Jeffrey Herlings says his results were terrible but that he played it safe after seeing so many injuries on a dangerous track.
Hopefully we see the real Herlings from round two on, the Dutch speedster is already 22 points behind leader Prado!
Herlings commented:
“Just a terrible weekend result wise with P8 🇦🇷, the track was unbelievable sketchy, I saw many riders go off on stretchers, and I didn’t take any risk and just wanted to go home safe as there are 57 moto’s to go.
“But we definitely have plenty of work to do to be fighting for podium spots. 🤷♂️
“Let’s go home, regroup and try to better at the next race.”
There’s a weekend off in the MXGP schedule before action gets underway again in Spain.
